Overview
The Western Arts & Culture Scholarship offers an exciting opportunity for all Northern Nevada high-school graduates, even those who are enrolled in college, to share their interpretation of our western heritage through their creative expression.
Geographic Scope: Northern Nevada high schools in the following 14 counties (excluding Clark County, Esmeralda County, and Lincoln County)
Eligible Creative Expressions:
- Written material
- Musical delivery
- Dance
- Visual art such as video, photography or painting
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have graduated from a Northern Nevada high school
- High school graduates currently enrolled in college are eligible
- Minimum 3.0 GPA at time of application required
- Applicants must be documented (undocumented applicants are ineligible)
- Must maintain 3.0 college GPA or equivalent
- Must enroll as a full-time student
- Must declare a major at an accredited Nevada System of Higher Education institution or out-of-state accredited college/university if major not offered in Nevada
