Weaving the Safety Net Application

Focus Areas: Helping families and individuals in crisis meet their basic needs and achieve stability.
Program Purpose
Heart of Indiana United Way seeks partners to work with clients in crisis to help them address basic needs and bring stability to their lives. Partners should improve the delivery of basic needs in their community by linking with other partners to create a more cohesive system that puts clients at the center of work and eliminates unnecessary steps and burdens to receive services.- Rent

Safety Net Services
Services include, but are not limited to, assistance with:- Clients cannot be discriminated against based on age, race, sex, religion, national origin, disability, economic status, or sexual orientation
- Grantees will be gathered regularly throughout the year to work collectively on service delivery with other agencies
- Required to track assistance through Charity Tracker
- Strongly encouraged to conduct warm referrals to other services
- Required to commit at least one front-line staff member to quarterly Community Health Worker training
Requirements
- $200 allocated toward Community Health Worker training
- $120 allocated toward Charity Tracker license for one staff person
- Organizations can train more staff and purchase additional licenses at their own expense
