THRIVE Network Application

Status: No longer accepting applications for 2022-2024 funding process

Geographic Scope: Currently serving Delaware, Henry, and Madison Counties ONLY

Focus Areas: Economic stability and financial mobility for low to moderate-income families through employment, financial coaching, and income supports.

Program Model

A data-driven model with promising evidence showing impact on low-income job seekers' employment outcomes, net income, credit, and net worth. All partners required to track data through Apricot data tracking platform.

Target Population

Designed for people who are working or want to work, who have the ability to set and follow through on longer-term goals. The model is not designed to focus on people in crisis—clients should be stable enough to follow through on appointments and focus on economic mobility goals. For example, chronically homeless individuals should seek housing services first.

    Economic Stability Definition

  • Sufficient family income for daily living expenses and minor emergencies
  • Sufficient financial assets to weather unexpected events
  • Transferrable employment skills leading to higher-paying jobs
  • Smart debt with positive credit history
  • Good relationships with mainstream financial institutions
  • Plan for post-secondary educational opportunities
  • Realistic opportunity for retirement beyond Social Security

Core Program Services

1. Employment placement and career improvement - Living wage job training, industry-specific skills, post-secondary education, career advancement in family-sustaining industries 2. Financial education and coaching - One-on-one financial coaching for specific problems/crises and long-term financial interventions; group-based financial education; connection to affordable mainstream financial services 3. Income supports access - Assistance accessing SNAP, EITC, housing, childcare assistance, and other public benefits 4. Other supplementary services - Free tax preparation, digital literacy, family support services, healthcare navigation

    Partnership Requirements

  • Commit to regular partner meetings for peer learning, group training, and resource sharing
  • Coordinate coaching efforts to bundle services for participants
  • Participate in Apricot data tracking

    Requirements

  • Accessibility: Partners must have accessible hours (evenings or Saturdays) to accommodate working people
  • Flexibility: Applicants must expect and be open to changing current client flow and service models both at entry and over time based on outcome data
