Wausau Marathon County Impact Grants Wausau Marathon County Impact Grants provide funding for projects and programs that most effectively make a positive impact on the greater Wausau area and Marathon County. Focus Areas The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin’s quarterly Wausau Marathon County Impact Grants application process matches funding with innovative ideas of nonprofits meeting our community’s needs in the focus areas of: the Arts,Education, Health and Human Services, and Resource Preservation. We attempt to understand both the specific objectives of a request and the long-term benefits to be derived by the community if a project receives funding. What We Fund We look for proposals that: Provide a long-term, tangible difference in meeting a specific need.Examples include capital improvements and equipment needs.Provide capacity building resources to escalate your organization’s level of service. An example is new program development.
