Rosie’s Striving for a Better Future Scholarship Grant

The Rosie’s Striving for a Better Future Scholarship offers financial support to students in north central Wisconsin, aiming to enhance their educational pursuits at various institutions. With over $300,000 in scholarships available, eligibility includes being a resident of Marathon County and demonstrating community service, leadership, and personal accomplishments. This initiative encourages diverse educational paths, making higher education accessible to all deserving students.

Scholarships
More than 200 students throughout north central Wisconsin, from pre-school to post-graduate, will be awarded scholarships totaling more than $300,000 from the 125 endowed scholarship funds administered within the Community Foundation.
Purpose
This scholarship is available to students who are planning to continue their education at any institution of higher learning including technical school, college, university, or any other institution of advanced learning. Criteria is not limited to consideration of grade point average but will include consideration of community service and leadership roles, as well as personal skills or accomplishments which the applicant has undertaken as a contribution to society.

Eligibility

Resident of Marathon County
Graduating high school senior or student currently pursuing a post-secondary education in any field of studyPlanning to attend an institution of higher education (not necessarily college or university bound)The following will be taken into consideration in the selection process:
GPA of 3.5 or lessCommunity service/leadership roles especially in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusionPersonal skills and accomplishments which contribute to improvements of society
