Watson - James Legacy HBCU Scholarship Grant

The Watson - James Legacy HBCU Scholarship, provided by The R.O.S.E. Foundation, supports African American public high school students from Bucks and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania, who are pursuing higher education at select HBCUs. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate commitment to academic achievement. This scholarship aims to empower students by facilitating their transition to college, thereby enhancing their opportunities for personal and professional growth.

R.O.S.E. Foundation
The R.O.S.E. Foundation (Recognizing Opportunities for Service and Education) is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for deserving women and their families. Its initiatives emphasize education, the arts, economic awareness, family dynamics, and emotional resilience, helping women strengthen coping skills and long-term stability. The Foundation’s charitable and educational efforts are supported and endorsed by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Phi Beta Omega Chapter, reflecting a commitment to service, sisterhood, and community uplift.
The Watson - James Legacy HBCU Scholarship is awarded to an African American public high school student who is matriculating to select HBCUs: Bowie State University, Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, Clark-Atlanta University, Hampton University, Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T University, Paine College, Spelman College or Tennessee State University. A student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The applicant must reside and attend school in Bucks or Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania.

Eligibility

The applicant must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale. The applicant must reside and attend high school in Montgomery or Bucks Counties.The Watson-James Legacy HBCU Scholarship is awarded to an African-American public high school student who is matriculating to one of the following HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities) to exclusively include:Bowie State UniversityCheyney UniversityClark-Atlanta UniversityHampton UniversityMorgan State UniversityNorth Carolina A & T UniversityPaine CollegeSpelman College Tennessee State University
