Claire Morris Lyons Scholarship Grant

R.O.S.E. Foundation
The R.O.S.E. Foundation (Recognizing Opportunities for Service and Education) is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for deserving women and their families. Its initiatives emphasize education, the arts, economic awareness, family dynamics, and emotional resilience, helping women strengthen coping skills and long-term stability. The Foundation’s charitable and educational efforts are supported and endorsed by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Phi Beta Omega Chapter, reflecting a commitment to service, sisterhood, and community uplift.
The Claire Morris Lyons Scholarship supports African American students who are either graduating high school seniors planning to attend Cheyney University of Pennsylvania or currently enrolled students at Cheyney University. Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale) and permanently reside in Bucks or Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania. The scholarship aims to promote access to higher education and continued academic success at one of the nation’s historically Black universities.

Eligibility

Awarded to an African American student who is a graduating high school senior attending Cheyney University of Pennsylvania or currently enrolled Cheyney University of Pennsylvania student with a “C” grade point average or higher starting at 2.5+ on a 4.0 scale. The student must permanently reside in Montgomery or Bucks Counties.
