Uvaldo Herrera Moot Court Scholarships

Funder: HNBA VIA (Vision in Action) Fund

Purpose: The Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition brings together law school teams to compete in advanced appellate argument. Scholarship funds are awarded to celebrate and recognize top performers.

Program Details:

  • Historically brings together up to 32 teams from law schools across the country

  • Students compete in complex appellate argument

  • Case presented is currently pending before the United States Supreme Court

  • Students must draft appellate briefs and prepare for oral argument

  • Oral argument presented before a panel of actual sitting or retired Judges
  • Award Recipients:

  • National Champion

  • Top brief writers

  • Top oral advocates
