U.S.-Japan Network for the Future

Organization: Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation and Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership

Program Description: Launched in 2009 to foster a new generation of Japan specialists. The program brings together emerging Japan specialists to build their knowledge of Japan, policy expertise, and contacts in Japan-related policy circles.

Program Structure:

  • Regular meetings of Network participants throughout the year

  • Cohort-based approach with ongoing engagement

  • International travel component (participants visit Tokyo, Kumamoto, Fukuoka, and other Japanese cities)
