The Louis Padovano Grants Each year The Lotos Foundation awards organizational grants to a number of not-for-profit organizations based in the New York City metropolitan area who offer outstanding arts programs, free-of-charge, to middle-school and high school students from across the City's diverse populations and neighborhoods, nurturing talented students in the areas of dance, film, music, theatre, visual arts and writing as well as in the life and physical sciences.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. In order to be considered, your organization should:be a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; offer an arts or science program under consideration free of charge to talented students from across New York City’s diverse populations and neighborhoods; andnot have received prior funding from The Lotos Foundation for the last three years in a row. A two-year hiatus is required if three consecutive years of funding has been received.Your program should:Identify and nurture talented students in one of these fields: dance, film, music, theater, visual arts (painting, photography, sculpture, mixed-media, video), writing (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, playwriting, journalism, criticism), or the life or physical sciences.

Please note that Louis Padovano Grants are not intended for programs which make use of the arts to provide therapeutic assistance.
