Overview
BTFA Productions provides project funding to NYC-based projects led by Black trans femme artists. Individual artists are eligible for up to $5,000 in production funds per year; projects with multiple Black trans femmes in leadership can apply for up to $25,000/year (scaling ~$5,000 per additional Black-trans-femme leader). Artists may receive funding twice a year (Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer). Eligibility: projects must be led by Black trans femmes and based in New York City; organizations are not eligible; funding is not for general support; BTFA must be credited as Executive Producer and projects shareable publicly. Eligibility flag: identity- and geography-restricted (NYC Black trans femme-led projects).
