ABOUT THE HADASSAH FOUNDATION The Hadassah Foundation leads the movement to revolutionize the role, perception, and impact of all who identify as women and girls in Israel and the American Jewish community. ABOUT THE GRANTS Funding Objective The Hadassah Foundation is interested in funding organizations and programs that strengthen the leadership capacity and role of self-identifying women and girls in the U.S. Jewish community. Grants are for $80,000, paid out over three years, beginning in January 2026 and ending in December 2028. Payments will be made in January of each year, in the following increments: $30,000 in year one; $30,000 in year two, and $20,000 in year three. Grants are for program-based or unrestricted support. Unrestricted funding is awarded only to organizations that utilize a gender lens throughout their work and that have missions aligned with the Hadassah Foundation’s overall goals and funding priorities. Grant proposals will be accepted until noon ET on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, and must be completed through our online grants management system. Funding Approach Grants will be awarded to organizations that: Promote leadership advancement, either through increasing the number and influence of women in decisionmaking positions across various sectors, or providing opportunities for girls and youth to acquire and hone their leadership skills with the goal of decreasing gender gaps, andAddress ongoing challenges disproportionately impacting women and girls, including financial security, mental health, physical safety, and upholding women’s rights.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Organization Status: Applicants in Israel or their fiscal sponsors must have amutah or mossad tziburi status. Applicants in the United States or their fiscal sponsors must have 501(c)3 legal status. Geography: Applicants in Israel must apply for funding for a program that takes place in Israel. Applicants in the United States must apply for a program that takes place in the United States. Population: Programs in Israel may be directed toward all populations in Israel. Programs in the United States must have a portion of their programming directed to the Jewish community. Grants are awarded for programs that work with people of all ages. Joint Projects: Organizations may apply independently or in collaboration. If applying for general operating (unrestricted) funding, your organization must utilize a gender lens throughout its work; all of the organization's work must focus on advancing gender equity. Funding can NOT be for capital campaigns, partisan political activities, or individuals. The organization’s annual budget must be no less than $250,000 and no greater than $5 million. Organizations with smaller budgets will be eligible to apply for the Hadassah Foundation’s Spark grant in the coming months.Organization or its fiscal sponsor must have legal not-for-profit status in the United States. Target Population: Only organizations that work within the Jewish community are eligible. Collaborations among organizations are welcome but are not required; up to three participating organizations in a collaborative project can each receive a grant of up to $80,000.
