FFW Educational Grants - $500 Individual Grants

Mission: Help girls and women achieve economic self-sufficiency and realize life goals through grants in education, health, wellness, career and life skills.

Geographic Scope: Southern Tier counties of Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, and Yates in New York State

Focus Areas: Educational pursuits - assistance with extra expenses related to education for girls and women

Organization Background

Established in 2009, FFW is the first funding stream dedicated solely to helping improve the lives of girls and women residing in the Southern Tier counties. It is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization with an endowment designed to provide sustainable, dependable funding for years to come.

Application Process

1. Access the Application: Digital application available on the Community Foundation's website - scroll down to the Fund for Women Grants section
2. Complete the Application: Submit all required information through the digital portal
3. Review Timeline: Applications undergo rigorous evaluation by a committee of dedicated women volunteers in conjunction with the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes, Inc.
4. Award Announcement: Grants are announced and awarded in the May/June timeframe following the application deadline
