Summary

The THCF: Community Grants for Wildlife Conservation supports initiatives across Missouri, encouraging proposals that enhance regional wildlife efforts. Starting in 2024, organizations can apply for funding for up to three consecutive years, promoting sustainability and impactful conservation projects. Eligible applicants include nonprofits dedicated to improving wildlife habitats and conservation strategies. This program aims to foster collaboration and maximize funding impacts to benefit the local ecosystem and communities throughout the state.

Overview

NOTE: Beginning in 2024, a new 3-year rule will be implemented. Programs, projects, and general operating grant awards are eligible for funding for up to three consecutive years. All previous grantees and their programs/services will have a "re-set." The 2024 grant awards will be considered YEAR 1 of funding. Grantees will be eligible for two additional years of funding (a new application is needed each year). Once an agency has received grant monies three years in a row, the agency MUST take one year off before reapplying for a grant. Eligible organizations may apply for ONLY ONE grant, either through Community Grants OR the Jelley Family Foundation Grants. This is also a change that begins 2024. Have a Program That Benefits Our Region? We Want to Know About it. Truman Heartland partners with nonprofit agencies that have a vision and passion for improving Eastern Jackson County, suburban Jackson County, and Cass County communities. Our grants are investments in our area, and we look for a big return on the investments. We search for ways to leverage additional funding and resources to make grants of impact across the region. THCF’s Community Grants program is designed to support agencies and programs that benefit Eastern Jackson & Cass Counties. What Kinds of Proposals Does the Community Grants Program Fund?
