Background The St Joe Community Foundation’s mission is to enrich the quality of life of the people who live, work, and play in Northwest Florida. Created in 1999, the Foundation provides grants to other 501(C)(3) entities for the areas of education, environmental stewardship, building healthier communities, and programs that honor the cultural arts. We believe that St Joe is creating communities that will have a long – range impact on the towns and lives of people in the region. At The St. Joe Community Foundation (Foundation) we consider this area our home - a treasure that deserves thoughtful stewardship. That is why we are investing in the future of the region. We want to be sure what is unique stays that way for generations to come. It is our desire to create a legacy of value for each of the many special communities in this wonderful area that we all call "home". The Commitment: The Foundation was established as a 501(C)3 private foundation dedicated to the ongoing improvement of the quality of life for the people who live, work and play in Northwest Florida. Grant Guidelines At The St. Joe Community Foundation (Foundation), we consider our grants in Bay & Walton Counties as investments, not charity or obligations. As such, we look for projects in Bay and Walton Counties that promise long-term returns on the quality of life in our region. Focused primarily on building healthier communities, our investments are based on building civic infrastructure that provides ongoing improvements to the area. Focus Areas Nonprofit organizations may submit their applications under one of the four pillars of the Foundation. Supporting Cultural Arts Projects and initiatives essential to cultivating, developing, educating and improving cultural experiences in the community. Strengthening Education Projects and initiatives to improve the educational process or access to education for children/and or adults in the community. Improving Healthcare Projects and initiatives that positively impact the physical and/or mental health and wellness in the community. Protecting the Environment Projects and initiatives that protect, preserve and restore the communities’ natural resources.Eligibility

The St. Joe Community Foundation accepts grant application from organizations recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, other than religious or political affiliated organizations whose purpose for the grant is political or religious activities. Organizations should be based in Bay and/or Walton County or may be recognized as a County Chapter of a state or national charity serving residents of Bay or Walton County.Ineligibility
