Geographic Scope: United States (K-12 student teams from across the nation)

Overview:
Inaugural design competition inviting K-12 student teams to design an exhibit for the Heritage Center's forthcoming Space Medal of Honor Gallery. The challenge combines STEM learning with Medal of Honor values and space exploration.

Program Details

• Student teams take on the role of Museum Exhibit Designer
• Create an exhibit concept for the Space Medal of Honor Gallery
• First year received over 100 submissions
• Multiple rounds of judging with final presentations at the Heritage Center
• Judges include NASA officials, aerospace industry leaders, and Medal of Honor Recipients

Eligibility

• K-12 student teams from across the United States
• Teams can be from public or private schools

Award Categories

Four winning teams selected with school awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000:
• Elementary School Division: $1,000
• Middle School Division: $5,000
• High School Division: $10,000
