Shigeo and Winifred Ito Scholarship Fund

This fund was created in 2020 by a former Hawaii Community Foundation scholarship recipient whom was able to receive a full college education because of the generosity of one of our scholarship donors. By creating this scholarship and naming it in memory of their family is how they have decided to 'give back to Hawaii'.

Scholarship funds have varying award amounts ranging from $1,000 or less to several thousand dollars. The award will depend on the size of each scholarship fund, the number of qualified applicants, and the preferences of the donor(s). The average award for students is approximately $6,000.
