SCC - Jeff Byrd Grant

The SCC - Jeff Byrd Grant, established by Speedway Children's Charities, honors a dedicated leader by providing a $50,000 grant to support exceptional projects benefiting children. Speedway Children's Charities
SCC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and provides funding for hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the nation that meet the direct needs of children.
Speedway Children's Charities is more than just a fundraiser. Our local chapters are partners in change, working with a broad range of people and organizations to identify and resolve pressing issues dealing with children in their communities.
Because of the unique conditions in every community, the issues Speedway Children's Charities address are determined locally. Challenges ranging from learning disabilities, broken homes, and childhood cancer are on the agenda for the local chapters of SCC and the numerous non-profit organizations they support.
The Jeff Byrd Grant project must be valued at $50,000 or higher. If higher, applicant must have a plan in place to fund the amount above $50,000.

Eligibility

Applicants for the Jeff Byrd Grant MUST also apply for the Speedway Children's Charities Bristol Chapter Grant. The Jeff Byrd Grant cannot be applied for solely, and cannot be for the same project being applied for in the SCC Grant application.You are eligible to apply for funding from the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities if you are an existing 501(c)(3) non-profit charity whose primary focus is children.We serve the counties of Carter, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington in Tennessee and Buchanan, Dickenson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington and Wise in Virginia.Projects for which grant monies are being requested must directly affect the needs of children.
