San Diego Section Scholarship Section Selected, Endowed Scholarship The SWE San Diego Section was founded in 1982 and is now one of the largest SWE sections in the country. The members of SWE San Diego come from diverse areas such as government, defense, research, consulting and manufacturing. The SWE San Diego Scholarship was endowed in 2021 and is awarded to incoming freshmen through senior undergraduate as well as graduate students from or studying in the San Diego area while pursuing an engineering degree. Scholarships Every year the San Diego County Section of the Society of Women Engineers awards monetary scholarships to young women enrolling in engineering schools or university engineering programs leading to an accredited engineering or computer science degree in the United States. Each year, the number and amount of our scholarships varies, depending on our corporate and member support. FY25 Continuing Scholarship Application CONTINUING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS Applicants must be a female identifying person enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an ABET engineering, computer science discipline or engineering technology program in San Diego County. International students are eligible to apply as long as the eligibility requirements are met.To be eligible, applicants must meet the following qualifications:Applicant is eligible if you are a person identifying as a woman.Applicant must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an engineering or computer science discipline in San Diego County. Applicant must be enrolled with an ABET accredited engineering, computing, or engineering technology program (see https://amspub.abet.org/aps/ for a list of eligible schools and majors) in San Diego County.If selected, applicant must be able to provide proof of enrollment for the coming academic year (starting Fall 2025).This scholarship is open to both SWE members and non-members.Ineligibility
