Dubuque Area Section Scholarship The Dubuque Area Society of Women Engineers section was chartered in 2011. Dubuque Area SWE offers professional development for technical professionals, networking, and volunteer opportunities—typically in the form of organizing STEM outreach activities for local youth. The Dubuque Area SWE Engineering Scholarship supports one scholar who identifies as female annually who is, or will be within the next year, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering in an ABET-accredited program.

Eligibility

One $1000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a female/female-identifying 12th grade or college/university/post-secondary student who is attending, or will be attending in the next year, an ABET-accredited engineering school to pursue a BS degree in engineering full-time.Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale is required. Applicant’s home or school address zip code must start with 520- in Iowa, 538- in Wisconsin, or 610- and be northwest of the Rock River Valley SWE section boundary in Illinois.
