The North St Paul, Maplewood, Oakdale Rotary Club regularly receives requests from organizations, groups or individuals asking for financial support for a project, event or program. The club uses consistent criteria to evaluate requests that reflect the club's values and priorities.

Review Schedule: All applications are reviewed monthly at Board meetings; funds will be distributed as approved.

Funding Priorities

Grants to groups or organizations will be considered based on the following criteria:

  • Community Health: Programs or projects that promote the community's health
  • Children, Youth & Families: Programs or projects that benefit children, youth and families
  • Disabilities: Programs or projects that benefit children or adults with disabilities
  • Elderly Citizens: Programs or projects that benefit elderly citizens who do not have other resources for financial, social and emotional support
  • Basic Needs: Programs or projects that benefit areas where people are without basic levels of food, shelter or healthcare and where a Rotary intervention can have a demonstrated impact
  • Arts: Programs or projects that enhance the arts in North St Paul, Maplewood, and Oakdale
  • Environment: Programs or projects that benefit the environment and help protect natural resources

Eligibility Requirements

Who Can Apply:

  • Primarily nonprofit organizations

  • Requests benefiting groups of individuals or the community are given priority

  • Only in unique situations will grants be made for an individual
  • What Won't Be Funded:

  • Organizations with missions that include illegal, discriminatory, or community-detrimental activities

  • Organizations affiliated with any political party
  • Presentation Requirement

    Applicant must present to the club for a minimum of 5 minutes about the request before a decision is made. Meetings are held most Fridays at 7:00 AM at The Salvation Army in Maplewood.
