Residential Rebates

Funder: Community Office for Resource Efficiency (CORE)

Geographic Scope: Pitkin County, Eagle County, and Garfield Counties, Colorado

Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per residential project

Focus Areas:

  • Energy efficiency and electrification projects

  • Heat pump installations (space heating, water heating, snowmelt)

  • Insulation and air sealing

  • Control systems and building management

  • Heat-recovery and heat pump ventilation systems

  • EV charging (Aspen Electric customers only)

  • Roofing, attics, walls, floors, crawlspaces

  • Appliances and cooking upgrades

  • Custom rebates for projects with significant energy savings
  • Eligibility:

  • Single-family homeowners in Pitkin, Eagle, or Garfield Counties

  • Community Priority Participants may qualify for enhanced funding up to $50,000

  • Community Priority Participants include teachers, childcare workers, veterans, and government staff

  • Projects in existing buildings (new construction not eligible for standard rebates)
  • What They Fund:

  • 50% of project cost up to $10,000 for standard participants

  • 50% of project cost up to $50,000 for Community Priority Participants

  • Rebates for energy efficiency improvements and fuel switching projects
  • What They Don't Fund:

  • Design work only (design supported through rebates but implementation is focus)

  • New construction (for rebates; grants considered for new construction)

  • How to Apply

    How to Apply for Residential Rebates

    1. Initial Contact: Contact CORE's Energy Concierge team to discuss your project at any stage
    2. Energy Assessment: Schedule a home energy assessment through CORE (available for federal rebate up to $150)
    3. Determine Eligibility: Verify your property qualifies and identify eligible project types
    4. Submit Application: Complete the residential rebate application
    5. Review: CORE Energy Concierge team will contact you to discuss application
    6. Approval & Implementation: Once approved, proceed with project implementation

  • Completed rebate application form

  • Property information and location

  • Project details and scope

  • Cost estimates for the project

  • Proof of residency (for Community Priority Participant designation, if applicable)
