Energy Efficiency & Conservation Grants (Colorado Springs Downtown Development Authority)

Energy Efficiency and Conservation Grants supplement or match funds for renovation or new-construction elements that improve the energy efficiency of commercial properties in Downtown Colorado Springs - e.g. efficient doors and windows, solar panels, LED lighting, water-saving fixtures and smart electrical panels/lighting - with a focus on older historic buildings and innovative new construction; paid on a reimbursement basis after completion. This grant is offered by the Colorado Springs Downtown Development Authority (DDA), a quasi-governmental taxing district whose work is executed by Downtown Partnership staff; Downtown Partnership is also the management company for Downtown Ventures (this funder record, Colorado Springs Community Ventures Inc). DDA grants are funded from a 5-mill levy and Tax Increment Financing; all funded projects must align with the Elevate Downtown Plan, and the 11-member DDA board decides grants at its monthly meeting (second Tuesday).
