Emergency Relief for Businesses Grant (Colorado Springs Downtown Development Authority)

The Emergency Relief for Businesses Grant provides grant relief to street-level retail, restaurant and service businesses within DDA boundaries after a major, unforeseen incident causing prolonged diminishment of business or displacement; street closures from planned events or construction are not eligible. This grant is offered by the Colorado Springs Downtown Development Authority (DDA), a quasi-governmental taxing district whose work is executed by Downtown Partnership staff; Downtown Partnership is also the management company for Downtown Ventures (this funder record, Colorado Springs Community Ventures Inc). DDA grants are funded from a 5-mill levy and Tax Increment Financing; all funded projects must align with the Elevate Downtown Plan, and the 11-member DDA board decides grants at its monthly meeting (second Tuesday).
