Overview

Regional K-16 Education Collaboratives Grant Program

Funder: State of California (established in 2021 Budget Act)

Total Funding: $250 million statewide investment (one-time)

Geographic Scope: California statewide; Inland Empire region participating through Inland Empire K-16 Education Collaborative

Purpose: Part of statewide strategy for strengthening education-to-workforce pathways and ensuring that education, vocational, and workforce programs work in partnership to address income, racial, and gender inequalities in education and employment

Grant Structure: Two phases

  • Phase 1: Spring 2022 - for mature existing collaboratives

  • Phase 2: Later round - planning and implementation grants for collaboratives in earlier development stages
  • Eligible Applicants: Regional collaboratives involving:

  • K-12 districts

  • Community colleges

  • State universities

  • Workforce development entities
  • Inland Empire Participants: Inland Empire K-16 Education Collaborative members:

  • Growing Inland Achievement (GIA)

  • Inland Empire Education Opportunity (IEGO)

  • Inland Empire Community Foundation (IECF)

  • Other local stakeholders
