Overview
Background
Antone and Marie Raymus were fiercely committed to their local communities. Their vision for the future was powered by their faith, love, and compassion for others. We at the Antone E. & Marie F. Raymus Foundation honor our namesake by striving to support and empower the very communities that help define us.
Focus Areas
Education
Education replaces empty minds with open ones and the Antone E. & Marie F. Raymus Foundation are committed to providing educational opportunities across the Central Valley. The education of our local youth is an investment in the future prosperity of us all. We provide funding to local schools from kindergarten to high school for classroom supplies, computers, sports, and more. Scholarship opportunities, music programs, and after school initiatives are just a few areas we hope to further support. We believe it is our responsibility to help provide better access, quality, and opportunity for young minds eager to learn. Our commitment to community starts with education.
Healthcare
Our foundation understands that a healthy society is a happy one. As we strive to spread hope and positivity within our communities, we understand the necessity of funding healthcare endeavors. That is why we provide support to several local hospitals in a variety of ways. Whether it be providing specialized beds to a neonatal intensive care unit, supporting new therapy programs that use music or dogs, or provide training tools for the education of future medical professionals. The Antone E. & Marie F. Raymus Foundation also knows that mental health issues are an equally pressing concern in our society. Our past grants have supported mental health initiatives like battered women’s shelters and special needs children, but we hope to do much more in the coming years as we firmly believe healthcare is crucial to our collective wellbeing.
Cultural Enrichment
We at the Antone E. & Marie F. Raymus Foundation believe one cannot define themselves without a cultural context. Culture is made up of our experiences in school, the workplace, holiday traditions, celebrations, from friends, family, mentors. From the food we eat to the way we dress, culture influences our hopes and dreams, enhances our perspectives, sparks creativity, and affects positive change. It is with a deep understanding of our shared cultural experiences that we aim to see them further enrich our communities. Whether funding a young girls’ softball team or renovations to a house of worship, we want to do more. Our priority will continue to be causes we believe to be in our shared interests. Our foundation will seek out new and exciting ways to better the quality of life in the Central Valley by promoting activities, events that celebrate our shared culture. Cultural enrichment is part of our commitment to community.
