RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation Community Grants

Geographic Scope: Sarasota and Manatee counties, Florida

Focus Areas: Real estate-related charitable causes including:

• Affordable housing
• Combating homelessness
• Providing emergency shelter
• Housing insecurity initiatives

Background

Since its official founding in 2020, the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation has donated more than $108,000 to local housing-related charitable organizations. The foundation recognizes that in Florida, 1 in 7 families spends more than half their income on housing, and Florida has the third-largest homeless population in the United States (just under 28,000 reported in 2020).

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be:

• Operating for at least 3 years
• Providing programs within Sarasota and Manatee counties

Required Documentation for Eligibility Review

• Copy of IRS determination letter approving organization as 501(c)(3) charity
• Copy of most recent IRS Form 990 (tax filing)
• Statement explaining percentage of donated funds directed to charitable programs vs. administrative expenses
• Evidence of at least 3 years of operation

Selection Process

Once approved, organizations are eligible to be selected as beneficiaries of RASM fundraising events. Approved organizations are maintained on an official benefactors list.

Fund Distribution

Donations from RASM or RRCF fundraising activities receive a donation from the event's net proceeds; however, 50% of net proceeds are directed to the RRCF general fund prior to any donation to the charity.

Application Process

Applications are currently CLOSED as of April 2, 2026.

When applications are open, organizations must submit:

1. Copy of IRS determination letter
2. Copy of most recent IRS Form 990
3. Statement of fund allocation (charitable programs vs. administrative expenses)
4. Evidence of 3+ years of operation
5. Confirmation that programs serve Sarasota and Manatee counties

All materials will be reviewed by the RRCF Board of Directors.
