R.O.S.E. Foundation The R.O.S.E. Foundation (Recognizing Opportunities for Service and Education) is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for deserving women and their families. Established in 2002, the Foundation focuses on empowering women in transition to achieve economic security and self-sufficiency through programs that build self-esteem, financial literacy, health awareness, and life skills. Its initiatives emphasize education, the arts, economic awareness, family dynamics, and emotional resilience, helping women strengthen coping skills and long-term stability. The Foundation’s charitable and educational efforts are supported and endorsed by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Phi Beta Omega Chapter, reflecting a commitment to service, sisterhood, and community uplift. Puryear-Lee Legacy Scholarship The Puryear-Lee Legacy Scholarship supports students of African descent who are entering their sophomore or junior year at a four-year college or university. Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale) and demonstrate a strong record of community service. Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Bucks, Montgomery, or Philadelphia Counties, Pennsylvania. The scholarship honors legacy, leadership, and continued academic persistence while recognizing students who remain committed to serving their communities.
