Puryear-Lee Legacy Scholarship Grant

The Puryear-Lee Legacy Scholarship, offered by the R.O.S.E. Foundation, aims to support students of African descent who are entering their sophomore or junior year at a four-year college or university. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate community service. This scholarship honors legacy and leadership while encouraging academic persistence among students from Bucks, Montgomery, or Philadelphia Counties in Pennsylvania, reflecting a commitment to community service and empowerment.

R.O.S.E. Foundation
The R.O.S.E. Foundation (Recognizing Opportunities for Service and Education) is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for deserving women and their families. Its initiatives emphasize education, the arts, economic awareness, family dynamics, and emotional resilience, helping women strengthen coping skills and long-term stability. The Foundation’s charitable and educational efforts are supported and endorsed by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Phi Beta Omega Chapter, reflecting a commitment to service, sisterhood, and community uplift.

Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Bucks, Montgomery, or Philadelphia Counties, Pennsylvania. The scholarship honors legacy, leadership, and continued academic persistence while recognizing students who remain committed to serving their communities.

Eligibility

Awarded to a student of African descent entering their sophomore or junior year at a four-year college or university with at least a 2.5 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scaleWith demonstrated community service.  The applicant must have graduated from a high school in Montgomery, Bucks or Philadelphia Counties, PA.
