Founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1945, Sweet Adelines started as a small group of women who loved to sing. Since then, it has evolved into an organization that spans the globe connecting thousands of singers around the world in song. We’re dedicated to preserving the unique sound of a cappella barbershop harmony, sharing our passion for music and empowering our community in every area of their lives. Pat Ostrander 4-Star Collection Quartet Scholarship The lead of 4-Star Collection, Pat Ostrander, fondly remembers their journey from newly established quartet to 1997 International Champion Quartet. In recognition of the importance of the structured educational events that their quartet attended and the high quality of feedback provided to them, Pat has funded a new scholarship. The 4-Star Collection Quartet Scholarship is available for Sweet Adelines quartets to receive funding to attend a Sweet Adelines-sponsored event. Two quartets will be awarded $1,600 USD to help them attend either the 2026 A Cappella Academy with the Coronet Club's Queens' College or the 2026 Sweet Adelines International Convention and Competition.
