PalmettoPride Tree Grant

Overview: Provides free trees for beautification programs in public spaces across South Carolina.

Focus Areas:

    • Key Details:

  • Trees provided are 3-4 feet tall and compliant with South Carolina native planting guidelines

  • Partnership with South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) Horticulture Program

  • Saplings are propagated by SCDC inmates, providing job training

  • To date, approximately 30,000 trees have been planted sequestering over 5 million pounds of carbon

  • Recipients must participate in a community litter pickup event

  • Received Keep America Beautiful Innovation Award (February 15, 2024)
