Keep South Carolina Beautiful New Affiliate Startup Grant

Overview: Grant program to support the certification and launch of new Keep South Carolina Beautiful (and Keep America Beautiful) affiliates in communities throughout South Carolina.

Eligible Applicants:

  • New communities seeking to establish a Keep South Carolina Beautiful affiliate

  • Community organizations and chambers of commerce leading affiliate certification efforts

    • Focus Areas:

  • Community certification process support

  • Launch of litter prevention, recycling, and beautification programs

  • Community greening and environmental improvement

  • Establishment of three KAB pillars: litter removal, recycling, beautification

    • Key Details:

  • Awarded to Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful (June 2021)

  • Over 700 KAB affiliates nationally; 26 state affiliates; over 30 local affiliates in South Carolina (as of 2021)

  • Recipients join national affiliate network and gain access to KAB resources and programs

  • Supports community transformation efforts
