Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science Scholarship Grant

The Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science Scholarship is awarded annually to graduate students conducting research in Great Lakes fisheries. Sponsored by the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, this scholarship promotes academic excellence and encourages young scientists to contribute to fishery biology. Eligible candidates must be master's or Ph.D. students with relevant research topics, and they must present their findings at an IAGLR conference. The winner receives a one-year IAGLR membership and a subscription to the Journal of Great Lakes Research.

The Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science Scholarships are awarded annually to a deserving graduate student conducting research pertaining to Great Lakes fisheries. The scholarship is sponsored by the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, IAGLR's oldest sustaining member.
The Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science scholarship is intended to promote academic excellence by encouraging young scientists to undertake graduate research in fishery biology and to enter the field of Great Lakes science. The Scholarship is awarded annually to a promising M.Sc. or Ph.D. student whose research is likely to make a significant contribution to the understanding of Great Lakes fishery science.
The scholarship winner will receive a one-year membership in IAGLR, including a subscription to the Journal of Great Lakes Research.

Eligibility

Applicants must be master's or Ph.D. students at the time of application, whose proposed research topic is relevant to Great Lakes fishery research, and who have not previously received the award.The Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science Scholarship will be awarded with the student's prior understanding and acknowledgement that an oral presentation of the research will be made at an IAGLR annual conference.
