Overview

Funding to offset costs for Sheriff's Offices that conduct mental health transports pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 33-6-406 or designate secondary transport agents pursuant to § 33-6-901. Grant is for non-custodial individuals only. Cannot be used for transportation of inmates to/from jail or workhouse. Eligible subrecipients are Sheriff's Offices in Tennessee; Sheriffs may designate municipal law enforcement agencies or third-party providers to provide transportation on their behalf.
