Provides funding to support purchase of disaster preparedness equipment for domestic violence programs currently funded by the Office of Criminal Justice Programs. Eligible organizations must be domestic violence shelter agencies funded through OCJP, follow Family Violence Safety Standards, and be solvent at time of application. Equipment examples include emergency preparedness kits, solar panels, generators, water purification systems, water storage tanks, storm shutters, and emergency communications systems. Annual budgets should not exceed $100,000. Personnel costs and travel are not allowable. Priority consideration given to agencies that responded to the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic & Sexual Violence's Disaster Relief and Preparedness Needs Assessment and those not previously funded through FVPSA Hurricane solicitations.
