Mary Josephine Bloder Scholarship Fund Grant

The Mary Josephine Bloder Scholarship Fund, established by a dedicated teacher, supports Lahainaluna High School boarding students who excel in science. This renewable scholarship aims to assist those in financial need while maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0. Eligible applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, including one from a science teacher at the school, ensuring that past recipients can reapply if they continue to meet the criteria.

NOTE: The Application deadline is represented by the Pre proposal deadline. The Letters of Recommendation deadline is represented by the Full Proposal deadline.
This scholarship was established by Mary Josephine Bloder, a Science and Math teacher at Lahainaluna High School for 23 years. As a young woman, Mary Josephine Bloder had to move away from home to get an education. For many years she lived on the Lahainaluna High School campus, where she developed close relationships with many of the school's boarding students. This fund seeks to help Lahainaluna boarders who are good science students attend college. Scholarship is renewable for 4 years.
