Overview

Martha Holden Jennings Foundation What began over 65 years ago as a family operation, continues today with board and staff members that embody the spirit of family. We are very proud to carry on the legacy of making a lasting impact on the students of Ohio, and honoring the excellent teachers across the state. Together, Martha Holden Jennings and her second cousin, Arthur S. Holden, Jr., founded the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation in 1959. Their intent was to recognize and support Ohio’s public-school teachers and students, a population they believed had been overlooked in philanthropic circles in favor of higher education. Ohio Superintendent of the Year Award We are pleased to offer your district the opportunity to nominate the superintendent for the Ohio Superintendent of the Year Award. The $10,000 award will be payable to the school district in the winner’s name. A representative committee of educators will select the superintendent to be honored. He or she will be recognized as the Ohio award winner at the Foundation’s annual Educators Awards Banquet in July.
