Meeting Local Need with Local Action We are PA’s first community foundation. We’ve partnered with philanthropists since 1916, helping transform their generosity into lasting good. FCFP is North Central PA’s most established vehicle for local charitable giving. Our mission is a big one, and our work can seem complex. But ultimately, it comes down to inspiring community giving and investing in community good. Lycoming Economic Development Foundation Fund The Lycoming Foundation partnered with First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania to provide an economic development grant program for the benefit of Lycoming County. The Lycoming Foundation was established in 1955 for the sole purpose of promoting the economic, commercial, and industrial welfare of Lycoming County. This Fund will help stimulate a strong Lycoming County economy. Goals of the Program: To provide community based economic development that enhances the quality of life for residents of Lycoming County. Requests may address one or more of the following: Job creation and/or retention Developing a skilled workforce with a focus on workforce development for low-income individualsImproved access to public infrastructure and facilities available for expansion of current business or attraction of new industry Environmentally sustainable approaches to promote businessRevitalization of the community Promotion of tourismEligibility

Eligible Applicants:Nonprofits organizations that are qualified to receive tax-exempt contributions as defined by the IRS – in the vast majority of cases, applicants will be 501(c)(3) organizations, or a unit of local government as described in Section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code Nonprofit organizations without 501(c)(3) status may work through another qualified 501(c)(3) organization that is willing to serve as a Fiscal SponsorIneligibility
Organizations with previously awarded economic development grants with outstanding or overdue final evaluations are ineligible to applyThe Foundation will not consider requests for the following:Annual campaignsEndowmentsMulti-year funding requests, on a case-by-case basis Operating or program deficits Requests from individuals Previous awardees with incomplete/open grants or outstanding final evaluations cannot applyFocus Areas & Funding Uses
