Overview

Crawford Impact Initiative To better assist non-profit organizations meet the changing opportunities and needs in Crawford County, the foundation has redesigned our discretionary grant program. Now titled the Crawford Impact Initiative, grants will still be be made county-wide but will offer some different opportunities for more impactful grantmaking. One round of grant making per year will accept applications from January 1st through March 15th. Funds are made from two types of funds: restricted and unrestricted. A project may receive funding from more than one fund. With just one online application, organizations will be considered for grants from all funds for which they are eligible. Our restricted funds support specific areas of interest: Marian and Vincent Barsch Fund: specifically for the preservation of local cemeteries.Bernadene R. and John B. Cooley Fund: benefits programs for children and youth.Tom, Becky and Geoff Hall Fund: benefits the performing arts and/or arts programming, animal rescue organizations, and/or purchase of physical books for libraries.Wayne A. and Jessie B. Stainbrook Fund: for agricultural, environmental, and conservation programs and projects, as well as youth education in those areas.Literacy Council Endowment Fund: for adult and family literacy.William Mong Memorial Fund: benefits programs that assist any people suffering from any respiratory disease.Raymond Philip Shafer Foundation: the primary focus is educating young people about their rights and obligations as citizens, including knowledge of public policy, voter registration, and consideration of public service as a career. Grants are awarded to organizations promoting nonpartisan political participation.Richard H. and Nancy C. Zinn Fund: supports local performing arts and/or arts programmingTitusville Fund: for projects in Titusville, PAAlbert L. Carlson Fund: for faith-based and religious programs in the Titusville area.Fred Lintner Fund: supports grantmaking in Titusville, PA.
