Award Information:

Three (3) scholarships awarded annually for Porter County residents

Awards cover full undergraduate tuition

Includes required fees

Special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment

Four years of undergraduate study

Full-time baccalaureate degree programs only

Scholarship Scope:

Since creation for 1997-98 school year: 103 Porter County students have received scholarships

Total aid distributed: approximately $7 million

Eligible colleges: Any eligible Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university

Eligibility Requirements:

Current high school student

Resident of Porter County

Must graduate from accredited Indiana high school with diploma no later than June 30, 2026

Intend to pursue full-time baccalaureate course of study at eligible Indiana college/university

Complete application submission by August 27, 2025 at noon (central time)

Selection Process:

Applications narrowed down by each high school

PCCF scholarship committee interviews finalists

Three finalists nominated and submitted to Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI) for final selection

Scholarship recipients notified in December

Evaluation Criteria:

Academic excellence

Leadership and engagement in school activities

Community involvement

Program Goals:

Raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana

Increase awareness of beneficial roles Indiana community foundations play in communities

Encourage scholarship recipients to engage with each other and with Indiana business, governmental, educational, nonprofit and civic leaders
