Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Geographic Scope: Monroe County, Indiana

Overview: Four-year, full tuition scholarship for high school seniors to pursue baccalaureate degrees at Indiana colleges or universities. Program administered through the Community Foundation in partnership with Independent Colleges of Indiana and the Lilly Endowment.

Award Information:

  • Four-year full tuition scholarship

  • Up to $900 annually for required textbooks and equipment

  • Two scholarships awarded annually to Monroe County residents
  • Eligibility Requirements:

  • Residency: Must be a citizen of the United States and legal resident of Monroe County, Indiana

  • High School: Must attend an accredited Monroe County high school and/or Indiana Academy

  • Duration: Must have attended eligible school for at least three consecutive years

  • Graduation: Must graduate by June of scholarship year

  • GPA: Cumulative GPA of 3.70 or above (weighted four-point scale) through end of junior year

  • Plans: Must plan to pursue full-time baccalaureate course of study at Indiana college or university beginning in Fall of scholarship year

  • Bloomington High School South

  • Edgewood High School

  • Seven Oaks Classical School

  • Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship

  • Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics & Humanities

  • Finalists' rankings submitted to Independent Colleges of Indiana, Inc. for final selection
