Overview

Legacy Grant Program Overview

Purpose: Allow donors to invest in DCF's exhaustive charity review process while supporting causes they care about and receiving tax benefits

Program Structure:

  • Donors entrust DCF with stewardship of their donation

  • Minimum commitment: $10,000 annual donation for 3-year term

  • Smaller donations: CCCC Tax Credit available for donations of $1,000 or more
  • Benefits for Donors:

  • Recognition with a named grant

  • Publicity through DCF's social network and events

  • Selection of charity recipient from DCF's approved grant applicant slate

  • Colorado Child Care Contribution (CCCC) Tax Credit (if taxpayer in Colorado)

  • - Donations produce approximately 3.3x return after credits and deductions (assuming 35% federal tax rate and 4.63% Colorado tax rate)
