Lawrence County Community Foundation Grant

The Lawrence County Community Foundation (LCCF) is now accepting grant applications until September 10. Established in July 2022, LCCF aims to improve the lives of Lawrence County residents through funding projects across five key areas: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Grants range from $500 to $2,500, prioritizing grassroots and community-driven initiatives.

Background
The Lawrence County Community Foundation (LCCF) was established in July 2022 as a vehicle for attracting resources that can be invested to benefit Lawrence County residents today and into the future. A local community fund of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), LCCF is committed to increasing opportunities for Lawrence County communities and residents by inspiring and supporting philanthropy. The Lawrence Economic Development Corporation, Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization, and Lawrence County Commission spearheaded the creation of the new fund.
LCCF Grants
The Lawrence County Community Foundation, in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, is accepting grant applications now through Sept. 10 for projects and programs benefiting Lawrence County residents and communities.
Grants will be awarded to projects and programs advancing opportunities across five areas of need, known as our Pillars of Prosperity:

• arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services.

Emphasis is on supporting individuals of all ages who are spearheading efforts that create opportunities, meet pressing needs and unleash the potential within Lawrence County.
Funding requests should be between $500 and $2,500, but larger requests may be considered based on potential impact. Priority is given to volunteer, grassroots and community-driven projects needing funding or resources to move their efforts across the finish line.

Eligibility

Nonprofits, schools and public organizations serving Lawrence County are eligible for this grant opportunity. Other groups working in fiscal agent partnership with a nonprofit or public organization are eligible to apply.
