Highland County Community Foundation Grant

The Highland County Community Foundation Grant, managed by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, aims to enhance the quality of life in Highland County through a permanent endowment fund. Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 support projects in five key areas: arts and culture, community development, education, environmental stewardship, and health services. This initiative focuses on empowering individuals and organizations that address community needs and foster sustainable growth in Highland County.

A permanent endowment fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), the Highland County Community Fund was created to assist the Highland County community in growing philanthropic resources to enrich quality of life. The Fund will make grants to support the community from its interest and earnings, ensuring permanent resources designed to address Highland County’s changing needs over time.
Grant Opportunities
Grants will be awarded to projects and programs advancing opportunities across five areas of need, known as our Pillars of Prosperity: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Emphasis is on supporting individuals of all ages who are spearheading efforts that create opportunities, meet pressing needs and unleash the potential within Highland County.Funding requests should be between $500 and $5,000, but larger requests may be considered based on potential impact.

Eligibility

The Highland County Community Fund, in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, is accepting grant applications from nonprofits, schools and public organizations for projects and programs benefiting Highland County residents and communities.
