Lamar Alexander Scholarship

The Lamar Alexander Scholarship was established in 1995 through a partnership with the Lamar Alexander Family and Maryville City Schools Foundation. The $1 million grant came from the Lockheed Martin Corporation Charitable Award Fund at the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program.

History: Senator Alexander recommended the Maryville City Schools Foundation for the one-time grant in 1995 when he was a private citizen and a member of the Lockheed Martin board of directors.
