Kentucky Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC Grant

The Kentucky Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC Grant aims to support local school districts and community organizations in developing effective out-of-school programs to enhance student achievement and social development. With an award amount of $150,000, this grant focuses on providing academic, artistic, and cultural enrichment for students from high-poverty schools, ensuring they meet state academic standards through engaging and comprehensive programming.

​​​​​​​​​The Office of Continuous Improvement and Support is issuing a Request for Application (RFA) for local school districts, community, and faith-based organizations, as well as, other qualifying private and governmental agencies, to design and implement effective out-of-school programs that improve student achievement and social development. The 21st CCLC program provides academic, artistic, and cultural enrichment opportunities for students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools, to meet the challenging state academic standards. Programs must provide a balance of enrichment opportunities that include active, hands-on engagement, with activities that address the needs of the whole child and help meet local and state academic standards.​
