Background Kentucky Conference Mission Grants will be awarded annually by the Kentucky Conference Mission Team.  Grants of up to $2,000 are available from two grant pools - one for mission work within the Kentucky Annual Conference, and one for mission work internationally. International Missions Grants will be awarded annually to churches, institutions, teams, or projects related to The United Methodist Church for the purpose of extending the mission of church to “make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World” outside of the United States of America.

Eligibility

International Mission Grants will be awarded only to churches, institutions, teams, or projects outside of the United States of America. Each grant application must come with a signed nomination from a Kentucky Conference United Methodist layperson or clergyperson.The following are eligible to be nominated for a grant:Any congregation, mission project, district, or Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church located outside of the United States of America.Any mission project, located outside of the United States of America, that is listed as an Advance Project by the General Board of Global Ministries.Any congregation, mission project, district, or Conference of a related or autonomous Methodist Church located in a country where The United Methodist Church does not have local churches.

Ineligibility

Grants will not be made to help pay the travel expenses of volunteer mission teams travelling from or to The United States of America.
