Ka'iulani Home For Girls Trust Scholarship Grant

The Ka'iulani Home For Girls Trust Scholarship supports females of Hawaiian ancestry who are college freshmen or sophomores with a minimum GPA of 3.3. Established in 1963 to continue the mission of the original Ka'iulani Home for Girls, it emphasizes financial need and good moral character. Recipients are preferred if they continue to meet eligibility requirements and maintain good academic standing. Applications require a verification letter from Kamehameha Schools.

The Ka'iulani Home for Girls originally provided housing for young women of Hawaiian ancestry. Kamehameha Schools used the building from 1950 to 1962 to board female students attending the schools. When the home became so old it could not be repaired, it was demolished and the property sold. The Ka'iulani Home for Girls Trust was established in 1963 and it continues the original mission of supporting Hawaiian females.

Eligibility

Supports students of Hawaiian ancestry. Applicants must submit a copy of their Kamehameha Schools Ho'oulu Hawaiian Data Center Ancestry Verification Letter
Demonstrate financial need
Attend an accredited, two or four-year, not-for-profit college or university within the state of Hawaii
