Overview: The Jim Hainlen Stillwater Orchestra Legacy Fund enriches the experiences of Stillwater Area Public Schools orchestra students beyond what is possible in the regular school budget.

History:

Established in 2004 following Jim Hainlen's retirement

Hainlen taught in Stillwater schools from 1973-2004

His tenure, influence, and mentorship helped establish Stillwater orchestra program as one of most highly regarded public school orchestra programs in the nation

In 2025, renamed and endowment doubled by committee of Stillwater orchestra alumni to honor Hainlen's enduring support

Purpose:

Support orchestra students and enhance program experiences
