For over 100 years, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) has been supporting the philanthropic interests of donors who want to effect change in their communities. Scholarships It is through the generosity of local individuals, families, and businesses that we are able to offer more than 190 scholarship opportunities. TFEC is the largest provider of scholarships in South Central, Pennsylvania, awarding over $1.7 million in scholarships to more than 400 local students alone through various scholarship funds administered by TFEC and through management agreements with the Samuel L. Abrams Foundation, the Leon Lowengard and Ray S. Shoemaker scholarships of BNY Mellon, N.A. and York Rotary Club. JEM Group Diversity in Construction Scholarship Fund JEM Group is a woman-owned construction services firm located in Central Pennsylvania. From the beginning, the driving force of the JEM Group has been to improve the communities where they live and build. The JEM Diversity in Construction Scholarship Fund was born out of the JEM CEO’s (Jessica Meyers) desire to see more young women and minority students encouraged to go into Construction related fields. Renewability Recipients of this scholarship may apply again for up to 3 consecutive years.
