Jean Estes Epstein Charitable Foundation Scholarship

Jean Estes Epstein established the Jean Estes Epstein Foundation upon her death in 2007. Jean had a great interest in education, especially public education in Hawaii. She felt it was very important to support public school students in their efforts to obtain college educations. Jean believed that a student’s educational experience would be enriched if the student attended school on the Mainland and was exposed to a diverse student population and new experiences. Jean hoped that the students who attended school on the Mainland would return to Hawaii in order to improve the lives of others in Hawaii.
